Talent Orchard is seeking a Part-Time FAP Victim Advocate , to support a top Federal Consulting Firm with deep roots supporting the military community.

The Victim Advocates support Navy Fleet and Family Support Programs (FFSPs), a central delivery system for service member and family support through victim advocacy services to victims of child abuse and domestic violence. FFSPs are designed to facilitate personal and family readiness and adaptation to life in the military and to keep individuals and families resilient and strong, preventing individual and family dysfunction, facilitating personal and family self-sufficiency, and creating overall command and community well-being.

Part-Time 20 hours per week

What will you do?

• FAP Awareness and Prevention Education
• FAP Victim Advocacy
• Emergency Preparedness and Response

Your background will look like this:

• 2 years of experience providing domestic abuse victim advocacy required
• Child advocacy experience to include working with non-offending parent of an abused child required
• Bachelors in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Criminal Justice or related social or behavioral science field, OR
  Combination of social science education and equivalent experience to a Bachelor’s degree, OR 4 years equivalent experience

• On-Call, after hours availability
