Role & Responsibilities

Be responsible for the design, support and maintenance of a large monitoring infrastructure.

Be required to do a mix of engineering, project coordination and support

Gather technical requirements, assess client capabilities and analyze findings to provide appropriate solution recommendations and adoption strategy

Create the conceptual, logical and physical design of Monitoring solutions for infrastructure and platforms

Research, analyze, recommend and select technical approaches for solving difficult and challenging development and integration problems

Learn and adopt new tools and techniques to increase performance, automation and scalability

Share the leading practices with internal team members and clients

Collaborate as part of larger delivery teams which may include project managers, business analysts, architects, developers, and change management professionals

Provide technical direction and oversight to Implementation teams.

Required Candidate Profile

Demonstrated experience in monitoring infrastructure, application performance, and end user experience in a complex enterprise environment

Relevant knowledge of monitoring industry standards and the use of analytics in an operational setting

Experience working with Sensu, Splunk, SCOM, and/or Nagios in a large enterprise

Experience on managing and deploying Application and Infrastructure Tools (Application Performance Monitoring Tools, Logging Tools, Automation Tools, Network & Security Tools)

Experience with orchestration and automation technology with a dev-ops focus

Experience with Cloud Computing and especially Cloud Administration

Linux / RHEL administration and networking administration / troubleshooting skills.

Experience in scripting skills such as PowerShell, Ruby, Python, or Perl.

Understanding of software development methodologies and practices including agile development and continuous integration (CI)

Docker and containerization.

Databases - MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB

API - REST and HTTP knowledge.
