Overview:
Aveshka is supporting the Defense Intelligence Agency's (DIA) mission move from an application centric strategy toward a data-centric strategy and advance Defense Intelligence culture to focus on understanding data as a part of mission tradecraft, business processes and agency performance.

Responsibilities: 

• Support the goals of the DIA Data Strategy and IC ITE adoption. Draw on existing DIA (DoDIIS) and IC ITE Data Service Architecture (DSA) architecture, security and application requirements/processes, take advantage of lessons learned from previous projects, leverage existing, available DIA data repositories and services, the DIA Software Development Environment, DevOps processes, EPS data and platform capabilities, DoDIIS available infrastructure (including but not limited to: C2S AWS, GovCloud, VMware, physical systems) and leverage existing DIA and future IC ITE environment, tools and services.
• Provide SMEs experienced in Cloud Technologies, AWS/C2S, containers, data layers, micro-services, System Administration, and SQL/NSQL database experience. These SMEs shall provide training to government and military engineers on these technologies.
• Establish, where needed, APls and connections to those APls.
• Provide technical subject matter expertise in software coding and unit level testing, including but not limited to JAVA, python, RUBY, R.
• Perform data analysis against DIA's data holdings implementing industry best-practices such as data mining, predictive analytics, text analytics, or other techniques as appropriate.
• Develop data flow diagrams depicting movement of data through the datacentric architecture.
• Deliver a data environment that enables the integration of data sources such that advanced analytic algorithms can be applied and yield analytic results supporting visualizations to inform senior level decision makers, as well as line level analysts.
• Responsible for all aspects of data services such as data understanding, ingestion, manipulation, visualization, and centralized data repositories.
• Provide capability to ingest and extract data.
• Establish a maintenance routine for all data and analytics. The contractor shall transition this maintenance to the government designated DIA contract or engineering group
• Provide support to mission users, administering data through its lifecycle, performing quality checks of data in the cloud, reports on data transmission and access.
• Maintain data compliance with IC data standards and required data tagging to support analytic use cases.
• Implement indexes in support of analytics, dashboards, and visualizations. The contractor shall transition maintenance of these indexes to the government designated DIA contract or engineering group.
