Strategic Connections is currently accepting applications for a Telecommunications/IT Technicians for the Charlotte, NC.

Full time - First Shift position with possible overtime and benefits are available (after probationary period).

DUTIES INCLUDE (but not limited to):

• Working in telecommunications room (IDF, MDF) environment
• Building and installing racks above head level for cables
• Move equipment cabinets into rooms
• Mounting in floor using concrete or wood drilling materials
• Installing cable termination equipment (48 port patch panels)

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 2 + years of experience in Telecommunications commercial/industrial
• Must be able to read fine print on blue prints
• IT background in commercial setting
• VOIP technology experience - telephone systems/switches, key systems
• Certifications are preferred but not required
• Be able to understand prints for cable pathways, telecommunication room locations, and office and cubicle locations
• Must be able to work independently
• Must be able to learn and use multiple testing equipment for all the cables used such as: flke fiber testers, coax, and CAT 5 + testers
• Fiber termination and splicing experience is a plus!
• Experience with installing jacks, speakers, flat panel displays, etc...
• Must own PPE Equipment (to take with you to job site)
• Must be able to work Full time, plus Overtime if needed
• Have High School Diploma or GED
