POSITION SUMMARY
The IT Resource Manager works within a technical flat structure environment and is responsible for the resourcing plan to deliver enterprise level IT applications projects, conflict resolution, employee growth and culture building. The IT Resource Manager must be able to work with all IT stakeholders including Scrum Masters, Business Analysts, Software Developers, QA Analysts, and Senior/Executive Leadership teams to develop plans that align with project resource needs, budgets, and timelines for delivery.  This position will facilitate conversation within team members when necessary, resolve conflict and instill an Agile culture based on servant leadership and Agile principles.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND TASKS

  • Works with IT stakeholders to understand project resource needs, budgets, and timelines for delivery
  • Aligns resources to project teams based on skillset requirements and project constraints
  • Supports day to day activities of BIT staff
  • Facilitates work as a Scrum Master when needed and promotes Agile values throughout the organization
  • Contributes to the Agile Center of Excellence; trains and guides other team members through adoption of agile principles
  • Exemplifies servant leadership to the department
  • Supports team members and provides coaching as needed
  • Provides on going career planning and development
  • Hires team members in collaboration with other key members of the BIT team
  • Provides one on one coaching to grow individuals and promote employee growth
  • Resolves conflicts within the organization and finds solutions to adversarial situations
  • Works with Human Resources, 3rd party vendors BIT team members to secure key talent needed to accomplish IT applications projects
  • Works with Human Resources and is responsible for all on boarding, disciplinary actions and off boarding of personnel as necessary

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • B.S. Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • Proven ability to work with both business and technical teams
  • Experience managing and working in technical
  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience in a technical role, preferably being an application developer or a product manager
  • Familiarity and passion for Agile/Scrum Development philosophies
