Career Evolutions is seeking a Staff Accountant for an exciting and growing manufacturing company in Phoenix, Arizona. This is an excellent contract opportunity with a compensation up to $35/hour.
Job Title: Staff Accountant
Contract Duration: 30-60 days with potential for extension
Job Description: You will be responsible for assisting the CFO with various functions including general ledger, bank reconciliations, credit card statement reconciliations, account reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statement preparation. You will be applying principles of accounting to record and analyze financial information and prepare financial reports for internal and external customers. You will provide back-up for transactional functions such as order entry and invoicing, inventory system implementation as well as AR and AP.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
4-10 years of hands-on experience working in an accounting environment
Previous experience with accounting software packages, including Sage 100
Strong attention to detail and ability to be self-directed and handle multiple priorities
Strong understanding of general ledger accounting
Highly motivated with excellent written and verbal communication skills
