Must have the physical, developmental, and mental ability to perform job tasks, work

efforts, responsibilities and duties of the job illustrated below.

Illustrative duties:

Provides office, switchboard, telephone and/or related support work as required by the

employing department/division. Work consists of routine duties. Operates office machinery as

required (i.e.: personal computers, telephones, switchboard, copiers, inserter/folder equipment,

etc.) Performs related duties as required.

Knowledge, Abilities and Skills:

Ability to read and write. Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions. Ability

to work effectively with fellow employees and assist the public cooperatively and courteously.

Sufficient physical agility and ability to perform duties in all weather conditions if required of

the assigned unit.

Minimum Qualifications:

Must be a bona fide student currently enrolled in an accredited high school, technical/vocational

school or college, two year community college or an accredited major college or university

system.

Must possess a valid Florida driver's license at the time of employment within this classification

should it be required by the assigned unit or office.

No substitution is allowed as applicants must meet the bona fide student requirement standard.

This position is part-time, Monday-Friday and is based in the Utilities Department, 1011 Jim

Keene Blvd. near Winter Haven, FL.. A flexible schedule may be implemented if the Student

Trainee has classes during a portion of the week. The hourly pay rate will be $8.10/hour (or
