JOB DESCRIPTION

The Scrum Master is responsible for planning and running application development project(s) by balancing scope, cost, time and quality to deliver customer requirements and satisfaction using Lean/Agile methodologies with specific focus on the scrum method.  This role works collaboratively with other departments to ensure the project is aligned with business needs and acts as a central information source for each project.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Implements projects using scrum methodology. Conducts all ceremonies for the end-goal of fast and high quality software delivery to meet and exceed customer needs
  • Plan and communicate how the project will be managed including risk/issue management, change control, and communication
  • Ensure projects meet business needs and that the project team and stakeholders understand the project deliverables, value, scope, and timeline
  • Engages the project team in the development of project schedules based on properly defined scope, project deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements
  • Oversee the technical aspects of the project throughout the SDLC Life Cycle
  • Manage Risk Management plan to identify, document, define mitigation plans, track, escalate and resolve project risks, issues, barriers, and dependencies
  • Facilitate regular status meetings and communicate project progress to all communication channels
  • Communicate project status and issues to executive stakeholders
  • Demonstrate proficiency in tactfully communicating with all levels of customer leadership
  • Identify process improvements, collaborate with stakeholders on resolutions, and implement solutions
     

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years of scrum master experience
  • Previous experience leading software projects in a software product environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, professional writing, and presentation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills in working with colleagues, other departments, and customers
  • Ability to work in a fluid, fast-paced environment and remain appropriately detail-oriented
