The Role

IT Software firm is looking for an inside sales rock star to help build a brand new team within our sales organization.  If you like a startup environment but can also appreciate the stability and support of an established, profitable company then you will absolutely want to read on.

As an Inside Sales Rep (ISR) you will be responsible for exceeding your revenue quota within a dedicated geographic territory focusing on SMB and mid-market companies.  This is a revenue closing role, not appointment setting.  ISR’s will own the overall customer relationship and there are multiple opportunities for follow-on sales across our deep product portfolio. 

Though ISR’s focus on smaller companies, the nature of our technology will require an “enterprise sales” approach.  This not a transactional sale and qualified candidates will have strong networking skills with the ability to get access to decision makers while still keeping up with technical prospects.

Our products are technical but our support system is strong.  We seek people that have a passion for technology, a mind for systems and engineering and good business acumen.  We are looking for high energy closers that are committed to continually developing themselves as software sales professionals and expect the rewards that come with that level of ongoing success.

Responsibilities

  • Exceed monthly, quarterly and annual revenue quotas
  • Follow up tenaciously on inbound marketing leads
  • Prospect into designated territory to generate opportunity pipeline
  • Maintain accurate and predictable sales forecast over time

Minimum Requirements

You have a bachelor degree or higher.  You possess strong negotiation skills and are a natural closer throughout your sales cycle.  You are competitive but still a team player and you are committed to continuously developing your sales skills.  In doing so, you are committed to developing your career.  Beyond that, you also have:

  • Minimum of 3 years of quota-carrying experience selling complex technology(FULL CYCLE SALES)
  • Proven track record of exceeding quota, ideally doing 100K+ deals
  • Must be customer focused and highly responsive
  • Previous sales methodology training such as Solution Selling, Challenger Sales, Sandler, etc.
  • Experience developing champions to get access to decision makers
  • Strong phone presence & excellent presentation skills
  • Strong knowledge of salesforce.com, PowerPoint, Excel
  • Experience selling into IT Operations and/or Application Development a plus
