Description

We are in search of a Payroll Implementation Specialist to join our growing team. This position maintains and enhances the organization's payroll department by planning, implementing, and employee on-boarding programs for our client base of HR and related businesses to meet growth, operational and profitability objectives.
 
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
Specific Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Live the organization's core values, and actively promote them within the team
  • Ensure client satisfaction and retention through timely and through client onboarding
  • Liaison between sales force and operations - work very closely with Business Consultants and the Client Operations team to assess and strategize new client specifications to determine appropriate implementation.
  • Engage in understanding the client’s business, identifying and executing additional value added services for all new clients - be able to identify how to make the payroll flow with ease, promote our products such as the web, accrual tracking, benefits, and ancillary products.
  • Manage and coordinate transition timelines for all new clients - track the progress of new hire packets, benefit enrollment forms, garnishments, 40Ik, accrual entries, etc. to ensure the client receives a welcome package in a timely manner.
  • Train the client on their chosen payroll processing method (web, excel import, time clock interface. or time sheets via fax).
  • Ensure timely and accurate payrolls are processed using knowledge of payroll, taxes, workers' comp, benefits, deductions, and Wage and Hour laws.
  • Process client set up, employees and deductions in payroll system to ensure an accurate processing can occur.
  • Provide a channel of communication for both client and HR to effectively manage the co-employer relationship.
  • Document process procedures and special handling instructions to provide cross training knowledge sharing
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
Required Skills

• 1 to 3 years of experience working in a client service/customer service environment or systems integration environment

• Understanding minimum wage requirements and other basic FLSA laws.

• Proven ability to maintain focus and work effectively with multiple demands

• Ability to work as part of a team to accomplish tasks

• Must be comfortable working in a performance-based and structured environment

• Must be able to recognize basic procedural issues as they arise, then escalate to the appropriate level

• Excellent analytical skills and time management skills

• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written

• Ability to travel 10% or less

• Experience with Prism is preferred
