Career Evolutions is searching for an Senior Accountant for a growing organization in the marketing insurance industry headquartered in Scottsdale, AZ. Full-time, direct-hire opportunity with compensation up to $65,000 + Bonus + company-covered benefits.
Job Title: Senior Accountant
Job Summary: You will be responsible for assisting the Controller with daily accounting functions, financial & operational analysis and other modeling with the goal of managing company assets and maximizing return on financial assets. You will help maintain timely and accurate company records, and provide timely reports and analyses related to all revenue and costs of the business, as directed by the Controller.
Responsibilities:
Initiate, prepare and report financial transactions of the company. This includes revenue, costs, assets, liabilities and equity.
Assist Controller as directed with the preparation of financial statements monthly, quarterly & annually in accordance with GAAP.
Assist Controller with producing financial statements by the 8th calendar day after month end.
Oversee Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets and other financial accounts as directed by the Controller.
Prepare special reporting and forecasting including ROI reporting by working in concert with other Company departments and using analysis and reporting tools
Assist Controller with the development and management of tools and modeling to assist Sales, Marketing and other departments to improve efficiency and effectiveness through automation and creative tool development.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
3+ years of experience with accounting and financial statement preparation
Insurance or financial management industry experience a plus
Advanced MS Excel skills (pivot tables, V&H lookups, nested If statements, etc.)
Strong QuickBooks experience preferred
1+ years of experience of hands on modeling: ROI, cash flow, forecasting, budgeting & pricing
1+ years of experience with improving automation of existing software tools, or the creation of automation where software reporting and analysis tools do not exist
Must be a self-starter and able to perform assignments with minimal supervision
Excellent verbal, written, analytical, and organizational skills
