Legato, LLC is looking for a Systems Administrator to join our team in San Antonio, TX.

Please note, all candidates must have:

  • Top Secret/SCI Poly Security Clearance

The best candidate will be able to handle the following responsibilities:

Unix/Windows/Vista Technician responsibilities include: 

  • Local and remote system administration support, system maintenance, installation and configuration of Unix Sun Blade and Windows workstations;
  • Updating Unix NIS Master and Displayback servers;
  • Troubleshooting problems and applying resolutions for 24x7 SLA customer base, SLAs that are due the next business day, and escalated tickets;
  • Resolving desktop problems and service requests locally in the extended Ft. Meade campus and remotely using tools such as SMS, Remote Desktop connection, etc.;
  • Installing software remotely via Marimba;
  • Creating and modifying Groups and Distribution Lists via DRA;   
  • Following up to ensure completion of work within SLA timeframes.

All candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:

Requirements:  

Must have technical background in diverse operating systems (Unix/Windows/Vista), hardware platforms, and software packages. 

Desired Experience:

  • Unix knowledge and troubleshooting (Solaris 2.6 and 2.8);
  • Unix server knowledge;
  • Familiarity with the Sun Secure Global Desktop environment;
  • Familiarity with Remedy ARS;
  • Familiarity with Marimba and DRA;
  • Computer hardware architecture knowledge;
  • Data/Information architecture;
  • Software installation and troubleshooting;
  • MS Exchange knowledge and troubleshooting;
  • Use and administration experience with MS Office Applications, Active Directory, and Network and Internet Applications.

Education:

  • Shall have a Bachelor of Science Degree in a related technical field with 2 years of relevant experience or 6 years’ relevant experience with a High School diploma.
  • A Master’s Degree counts for two years’ experience and certification in a related field counts for one-year experience.
