Career Evolutions is searching for an Accountant for a fast-growing manufacturing company in Phoenix, AZ. Full-time, direct-hire opportunity with compensation up to $55,000 + Bonus.
Job Title: Accountant
Job Summary: You will provide support to the Operations Manager at the Phoenix location and the Chief Financial Officer, and help with the preparation of financial statements, standard costs, variance and capital expenditure analysis, budgeting and cost control.
Job Responsibilities:
Participate in month end close, year-end audits, preparation of the business plan, and financial reporting.
Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and analysis.
Provide general ledger and tax administration.
Monitor inventory control to ensure proper level of inventory items.
Monitor fixed assets control including reports on assets.
Standard cost maintenance and efficiency and usage variance analysis.
Prepare the budget and provide management team with budget variance analysis and reporting.
Drive cost reduction and cost containment initiatives.
Oversee Accounts Payable and Payroll.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
1+ years of accounting experience in the manufacturing industry
Demonstrated skills and knowledge of GAAP and
Cost accounting experience a plus
Advanced Access and Excel skills (V-lookup, Pivot tables, Macros)
Strong attention to detail, high level of accuracy, strong analytical and organizational skills
Able to work independently and as part of a team and excellent verbal and written communication skills
