Job Summary: As a member of the Accounting department, you will report directly to the SVP Accounting. You will act as a technical expert taking on the responsibility to handle complex accounting issues and proactively support subsidiaries around the world. You will play a key role in establishing financial statements and ensure compliance in accordance with IFRS standards. You will take the lead in implementing new accounting standards and processes for improvement.
Responsibilities:
Actively participate and take responsibility in the monthly consolidation process, ensuring data quality and accuracy of accounting treatment
Propose and implement initiatives to enhance quality of reporting packages and accounting systems
Reviews and concludes on the validity of analytical review procedures performed by staff
Contributes to company mission and acts as a technical resource for the Accounting Team and subsidiaries around the world
Proactively anticipate changes in accounting standards, propose system adaptations to reflect such changes and participate in establishing training material for the Accountants
Collaborate with the Accounting Team to ensure preparation and compliance of annual reports with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
Provide expertise on the treatment of accounting transactions and related reporting requirements
Collaborate in analyzing future acquisitions of companies, ensuring purchase price allocation determination and harmonization of accounting policies
Complete analytical review procedures including documentation of expectation, results and conclusions for a complex review
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
CPA (Big 4) highly desirable
5+ years’ of audit / assurance experience in public accounting
Experience in an international, high-tech environment a plus
Advanced knowledge in consolidation principles
Excellent knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS
Excellent audit knowledge and basic knowledge of general tax issues
Strong financial systems background and knowledge of Hyperion Financial Management
Strong technical, analytic skills and attention to detail
A self-driven and highly motivated team-player with excellent communication skills
Result driven, able to identify opportunities, follow-through, meet deadlines and execute
Dynamic and ambitious with ability to work in a global environment
Up to 10% international travel
