Career Evolutions is searching for an Audit Senior a fast-growing public accounting firm in Phoenix, AZ, This is a full-time, direct-hire opportunity with compensation up to $75K + Bonus and an excellent benefits package.
Job Title: Audit Senior
Job Summary: You will identify client needs, meet those needs and view clients as your own. You will exercise independent judgment and discretion when preparing audit work papers, as well as in conducting field work, based on your knowledge of accounting rules.
Responsibilities:
Plans engagements and is responsible for bringing projects in at budget and on time
Assists in preparation of audit work papers
Completes analytical review procedures including documentation of expectation, results and conclusions for a simple review
Drafts financial statements and notes for a simple compilation or review
Performs assigned audit procedures for specific accounts and transactions
Prepares complex tax accrual for financial statements
Researches and concludes on accounting issues
Provides assistance to senior accounting staff
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
Master’s Degree in Accounting or Taxation preferred
Active CPA license or progressive plan toward passing the CPA exam required
2+ years of experience in public accounting
Excellent audit knowledge and basic knowledge of general tax issues that may arise over the course of an engagement
Experience using tax and accounting software systems
Excellent organization, analytical, written and verbal communication skills
