Career Evolutions is searching for a Chief Executive Officer for a fast-growing construction company based in Boise, ID. This is a direct-hire role with compensation up to $175,000 + Bonus + Equity.

Job Title: CEO

Summary of Position: You will report directly to the Board of Directors and be responsible for day-to-day management and for developing and implementing short and long term strategic initiatives. You will act as a direct liaison between the Board and Management of the company. You have an entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to creatively solve problems and grow the business. As the company is continuing to build a foundation of operational excellence, you will manage and implement initiatives designed to improve growth and operational performance.

Operational Leadership: You will provide effective, hands-on, collaborative, and inspiring leadership style to ensure integration of all employees and foster an environment of continuous improvement. You will manage direct reports, set goals that support the organization’s objectives, and assign accountabilities as well as plan, monitor, and appraise job results. You will also train, coach, and oversee the development of managers. In addition, you will support ongoing performance efforts and keep the Board of Directors informed of critical issues and opportunities.

Strategic Planning and Implementation: You will develop strategies and driving implementation of organizational priorities, goals, operating plans, and objectives. You will ensure that operations run smoothly and efficiently according to the strategic plan by allocating resources, reviewing progress, and making mid-course corrections. You will evaluate operating results ensuring that growth objectives are met as well as create, implement, and track benchmark metrics.

Business Development: You will lead new business development opportunities and facilitate expansion of existing and related business opportunities for the organization. You will grow the market by defining, developing, negotiating, and closing business relationships. You will create long-term value for the organization from customers, markets, and channels by generating and maintaining relationships. You will ensure that sales revenue, sales margins, and customer goals are met.

Finance: You will provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision making for the organization. You will support the finance department by providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports and financial trends.

Candidate Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, MBA highly preferred
  • 10+ years of leadership experience preferably in the construction industry
  • Exceptional operational, business development, financial, and problem solving skills with proven track record of exceeding goals in high-growth scenarios
  • Successful leadership in rapid growth environments
  • Excellence in organizational management with ability to develop high-performance teams
  • Outstanding organizational, business development, project management and negotiation skills
  • Demonstrated track record of setting and achieving goals
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
