Typical Duties will Include:
Daily reporting of the company’s trading position and profitability on a mark to market basis
Tracks and reconciles all Exchange and Over the Counter (OTC) derivatives transactions
Compiles physical inventory position on a daily basis for use by operations and management
Monitors compliance with the company’s trading policy
Supports traders and other operations personnel in the pre-trade process
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, or other business related field and 5-7 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in financial analysis and accounting.
Experience in a support role for a commodities trading organization and familiarity with mark to mark concepts would be considered a strong plus.
Knowledge of financial modeling and analysis techniques, financial forecasting, and trend analysis is required.
The ability to understand and utilize financial and volumetric assumptions for use in preparation of financial models is required.
Advanced knowledge of and skill in using MS Excel is required as well as mathematical skill to calculate and interpret data using percentages, ratios, averages, and other statistics.
Experience with MS Access and energy trading systems highly desirable.
Proven ability to make sound decisions with solid time management skills to effectively meet deadlines and manage complexity within the work day.
Excellent inter-personal, written and oral communication skills required to successfully present information to upper management.
Must have the ability to provide a high level of customer service to both internal and external customers
