Information Management Technical Sales Specialist

As an Information Management Technical Sales Specialist, the candidate is Aviana Global Technologies technical sales consultant to our clients and a technical sales leader for Information Management (IM) Practice sales team. They will learn their client's business requirements, technical requirements, and competitive landscape and apply their technical knowledge and experience to bring new solutions to their assigned clients. They will be responsible for collaborating with Aviana sales teams to define, design, and detail the technical aspects and feasibility of proposed solutions. They will deliver solution workshops, product demonstrations, technical education, and Proof of Concepts. They will support technical escalations, design solutions, and answer technical questions throughout the sales process in order to progress and close sales and develop customer relationships. They will assist the Aviana sales team with quantifying the value proposition of our solutions with clients.

The Information Management Technical Sales Specialist has an understanding of products, offerings and services within their specialty as well as proven business acumen. Candidates in this role will be responsible for support of the IBM Information Management (IM) Software Portfolio for their assigned territory.

  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with key decisions makers and influencers at their clients
  • Ability to develop and deliver compelling demonstrations, proof of concepts, prototypes, and other pre-sales assets
  • Ability to assist with Request for Proposal (RPF)/Request for Information (RFI) and other technical questionnaires
  • Competency in support training and consulting in post-sales tool and processing deployment situations
  • Understanding of Information Management surrounding technology at a high level and positioning value props for these products with clients
  • Ability to provide technical assistance for marketing activities: Regional Workshops, User Group Meetings, Sales Seminars, Meet-ups and Trade Shows

Required:

  • At least 3 years’ experience in Information Management technologies
  • Readiness to travel 50% travel annually
  • English: Fluent

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • At least 1 year experience in Software Presales, Sales Engineering or Consulting
  • At least 2 years’ experience in Customer Facing Technical Sales
