Description
Career Evolutions is looking for an Accountant for an exciting and fast-growing company in Scottsdale, AZ. This is a full-time career opportunity with compensation up to $40,000.
 
Job Summary:  You will perform such general accounting duties as processing accounts receivable and payable, day-to-day assessment of accounting performance, general ledger operations, month-end processing through financial statement reporting. Reporting directly to the Accounting Manager, you will also support Senior Accountants.
  
Responsibilities:
  • Ensure daily, weekly & monthly AR functions are performed accurately and timely
  • Effective communication/coordination across internal departments, 3rd party providers & external customers ensuring accuracy and timely collection on outstanding balances.
  • Oversee cash application, ensuring that all cash receipts are applied correctly
  • Guarantee the correct and on time reconciliation of other corporate accounts receivable
  • Provide recommendations towards refining collection and invoice potentials
  • Ensure timely reporting: invoice adjustment, cash receipt, aging & invoice sums
  • Assist Senior Accountants with batch review, General Ledger coding and Financial statement preparation and review
  • Complete Journal entries, accruals, inter-company transactions and month-end processing as assigned by the Accounting Manager
  • Perform monthly/weekly ACH collection process through reconciliation to General Ledger
  • Develops and sustains thorough familiarity and understanding of Accounting policies, financial systems, transaction processes, internal controls and chart of accounts
  • Perform the month-end close process in a timely and efficient manner by completing any appointed duties and supporting others as need be
 
 
Qualifications:
 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent experience)
  • Hands-on experience with Great Plains is preferred; similar software experience required
  • Advanced Excel user (Pivot Tables, VLookups) and experience with all MS Office products
  • Prior involvement in a multi-unit or franchise setting desired
  • Strong attention to detail is a must
  • Multi-task and able to perform in a high stress environment
  • Capable of clear verbal and written communication
