Career Evolutions is looking for an International Tax Specialist for a fast-growing technology company in Phoenix, AZ. Full-time career opportunity with a total compensation up to 115K.
 
Job Summary: The role will place you as an integral member of the finance team responsible for monitoring, mitigating risks, optimizing and executing all international tax work in connection with cross-border tax matters including transfer pricing. You will report directly to the Head of Tax. You will primarily work in establishing and updating master transfer pricing documentation for the company, supporting subsidiaries in setting-up transfer pricing agreements and all required documentation and compliance material including benchmarks.
 
Responsibilities:
 
  • Play a key role in establishing, reviewing and refreshing the master transfer pricing documentation and establishing the Country-By-Country reporting (CBC reporting).
  • Collaborate with subsidiaries to comply with local requirements in terms of transfer pricing documentation; including review of benchmark analysis together with identification optimization measures.
  • Support the Head of Tax in developing the group intercompany financing tax strategy.
  • Establish guidelines, inform and train sales force on tax impact of cross-border sales arrangements. Find solutions to minimize the tax implications on such transactions.
  • Support with VAT/GST/Sales tax and custom duties matters and collaborate to identify R&D credit incentive opportunities.
  • Monitor subsidiaries filing status to meet deadlines and monitor available NOLs.
  • Take a critical role in tax planning and strategy
  • Support tax accounting schedules for annual report and support local subsidiaries for tax issues
  • Tax intelligence, planning and research work to determine tax implications
  • Involvement in M&A transactions
 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, or Law; Master’s degree in Tax is preferred
  • 5 years experience in international tax environment, ideally with a public accounting & audit firm (Big 4, Regional)
  • Knowledge of recent BEPS development
  • Understanding of tax code and technical aspects of compliance
  • Management of outside tax advisors or outsourced tax projects
  • Strong analytic, problem-solving and tax research skills
  • A self-driven and highly motivated team-player with excellent communication skills
  • Result driven, able to identify opportunities, follow-through, meet deadlines and execute
  • Dynamic and ambitious candidate, able to work in a global environment
  • Up to 10% travel, and conversational French is a plus
