Job Summary: You are an experienced Test Automation Engineer with expertise in building automation tests and comprehensive test plans for products and tools. You are a client-focused, self-motivated professional that loves to work on products with explosive growth!
You will be part of a team of Software Engineers & Web Developers & Production Engineers and directly impact new and existing clients worldwide and see live results on a daily basis!
Responsibilities:
Contribute to the design and building of an automation test framework for a complex, highly customizable website analysis engine.
Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases by collaborating with architects, developers and project managers.
Design, build and maintain automated tests and test suites for new features as well as existing functionality in browser, command-line and API-based applications.
Create and manage test data for use by automation test scripts.
Perform manual testing according to test plans.
Identify, record, thoroughly document and track defects.
Augment automated regression test scripts when defects are resolved.
Provide feedback and recommendations to project management on software usability and functionality.
Help define QA strategies and processes.
Requirements:
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science
At least 5 years of experience in software testing ideally web testing
At least 5 years doing automated testing using either Selenium IDE or Selenium WebDriver
At least 5 years of experience coding using Java as the primary programming language
Experience in various testing methodologies such as White Box, Black Box, Smoke Testing, Regression Testing and others
Experience in creation and execution of test plans
Experience in setting up and managing test environments
Experience working on Linux machines
Experience in leading projects and/or mentoring junior QAs
Prior experience as a Java developer is a big plus
