Job Title: Senior BI Developer
Job Summary:
The successful candidate will be able to build high quality and innovative solutions in a fast pace growing Franchise Company. As a Senior Business Intelligence Developer, you will be responsible for BI and data analytic processes focusing on design and development of reports and dashboards, data quality and automation. Additional responsibilities include designing and building reports using SSRS, SSIS, SSAS, etc.
Responsibilities:
Develop interactive dashboards and reporting
Create simple to complex analytical solutions
Gather requirements, develop design and technical specification documents and perform impact analysis
Collaborate to build extendable analytical data models
Provide ad hoc data and report requests to support business needs
Design and maintain ETL and the supporting data objects for our growing BI infrastructure
Troubleshoot production issues and performance tuning of performance
Work with onsite development teams, as well as, various 3rd party vendors and offsite resources
Qualifications:
Strong analytical thinking
Ability to take an abstract analytical problem and break it down into actionable tasks that deliver results quickly
Detail oriented
Strong written, oral communication skills
Ability to work with little to no supervision; be a self-starter
Provide mentoring to teammates when needed
Proven ability and initiative to learn and research new concepts, ideas and technologies quickly
Worked in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects and overlapping deadlines
Requirements:
Bachelors of Science degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience
7-10 years’ experience with SSRS and other Reporting Platform experience (a Plus)
Experience with visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Domo or similar)
7-10 years’ experience with SSAS
7-10 years’ SQL Server database development (T-SQL, stored procedures, Database Object Creation)
3-5 years’ experience with SSIS
Proven experience in an analytical position with hands-on experience coding and designing new reports, maintaining and enhancing existing reports, and designing dashboards on scalable intelligence platforms
Experience with Dimensional Models
Experience working directly with senior business leaders to understand objectives and articulating the impact of business intelligence solutions
Experience with SSAS, cubes and MDX scripts
Experience with Big Data and Advance Analytics
Experience with Machine Learning and Statistical Analysis as a plus
