Cuhaci & Peterson is seeking a Project Architect III to join its growing team in Philadelphia, PA. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 10 years of experience within the grocery sector and have a complete understanding of building construction methods, techniques, systems, cost implications and major model codes.

Responsibilities:

• Implement medium to large or complex architectural projects, including design, construction documents, permitting, bidding and construction administration.
• Advanced skills in research, planning, design, preparation of construction documents, administration, and inspection for new construction, remodels or renovation projects.
• Initiate and direct coordination with other disciplines, including guidance and direction on types of systems to be used.
• Perform in depth architectural and engineering quality control checks, as well as, peer review in order to maintain firm standards and quality thresholds throughout projects.
• Assist Project Architects I and II in all responsibilities delineated in their job descriptions.
• Prepare statements of probable cost/assists PM in setting scope and budget, as well as, proposal preparation.
• Signing & sealing.
• Oversee Production of CDs of multiple projects.
• Assists client’s interests in public hearings & meetings.
• Assists in bid process and procedures.
• Assists in providing full CA services (this may include field assistance).
• Produce design, CDs, and specifications.
• Complete scope within allotted time/budget.
• Manage permitting process/response to comments.
• Research and apply applicable codes/Contact w/AHJs.
• Runs kickoff meeting.
• Makes presentations to clients/develop design solutions. Prepare and present design drawings. Analyze and resolve any issues, answer questions, assess technical issues.
• Conducts performance reviews.

Requirements:

• Licensed architect
• Advanced skills in research, planning, design, CDs, administration/inspections.
• Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to work under time constraints or stressful situations.
