We are searching for a Sr. Payroll Specialist, who will be responsible for oversight of Payroll Processors to facilitate and complete payroll processing, tax reporting, benefits-records administration and payroll system maintenance 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
Specific Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Live the company's core values, and actively promote them within the team
  • Manage and execute payroll processing for priority clients in a timely and accurate manner to ensure client satisfaction and retention.
  • Process new hires, termination, status changes, tax changes, deductions, direct deposits, time sheet data, pay rate changes, retroactive adjustments and any special payments.
  • Resolve questions/problems regarding employee paychecks, direct deposits, stop payments and client invoice amounts.
  • Performs audits of payroll detail for accuracy to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and internal policy and procedures.
  • Assist Payroll Manager with ensuring payroll related compliance including but not limited to state mandated certified payroll processing, bonus and incentive check administration, W2 and W2C administration.
  • Train and onboard new Payroll Processors assigned to the team.
  • Ensure the accuracy of payroll preparation and processing, payroll accounting, tax filing and remittance, benefits maintenance and various special payments.
  • Assist with the development of payroll procedures for preparation, documentation and disbursement of payroll­ related payments.
  • Organize, secure and maintain all files, records in accordance with policies, procedures and regulatory safeguard requirements.
  • Serve as backup Payroll Processor in a case of team absence or identified need.
  • Manage all payroll reports, timesheets, attendance and production records, and other related documentation. Ensure all data is updated within Prism in a timely manner.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with clients, employees, and business partners; support team to reach common goals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Required Skills

• Minimum 5 years of payroll experience, preferably in a PEO

• Supervisory experience preferred

• Bachelor's degree required (Business, Accounting or related field)

• Prism HR experience desired

• FPC or CPP certification preferred

• Strong leadership and management skills

• Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, presentation)

• Skilled in customer service and issue resolution

• Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously

• Time management skills

• Excels in a fast-paced environment
