Albelissa Engineering is looking for a JUNIOR EMC TEST ENGINEER on behalf of our Fortune Global 500 multi-national client.
This talented engineer will provide a key function for the Product Approval and Lab Operation (PA&LO) team through definitive EMI/EMC testing expertise. Additionally, this detail-oriented engineer will prepare and schedule test programs, and syncing cross-team to meet all compliance deliverables required for a product launch.
This person will work closely with other development engineers (Electrical Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, Software and Hardware Engineers) to ensure that our products meet technical requirements.
Responsibilities:- Representing all electrotechnical compliance disciplines in multiple product development teams.
- Coordinating all necessary electrotechnical documentation, test report, declarations and certifications.
- Perform on-site development test support and maintain test equipments calibration.
- Support the EMC compliance team in the development of common (best) practices
- Providing definitive subject-matter expertise in the fields of electromagnetic interference and compatibility.
Specifically for:
- -Development of EMC design requirements for electronic modules at a circuit board and system level
- -Optimize schematics, PCB component placement and routing to meet EMC requirements for Emissions and Susceptibility
- -Formulation of system and circuit board level initial EMC protection
- -Review and translation of customer EMC requirements and procedures into EMC test documents and design concepts
- -Expert-level knowledge of EMI design, test and mitigation.
Contract type: to be evaluated in light of the experience and skills acquired
- Required Skills
-
Bachelors in Electrical or Electronics Engineering with educational focus in electromagnetic aspects of design and development of electronic systems.
The ideal candidate should have 3+ years of high-volume consumer electronics experience as a compliance engineer focusing in EMC.
The candidate must have demonstrated strong project management skills and a good understanding of product compliance.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills required to seamlessly work across groups and at all levels.
Six-sigma Black Belt certification and knowledge in EMC norramtives (EN 55011, EN 55014; EN 61000; EN 62233 and EN 60335) is considered a plus.
