Our Swiss client, a leading worldwide supplier of high performance optical sensor solutions is in search of a:
Data Analysis Engineer for Metrology & Failure analysisThe ideal candidate is a Matlab expert who will be able to analyze raw data and create software tools. He/she will transform tasks into programming language.
Job description/tasks and responsibilities:
- Be responsible to create varieties of standalone/executable software tools with Matlab (or Python) with user interface. These tools will be shared to automate process the 3D raw data from the measurement instruments.
- Investigate proper algorithms and develop software tools to optimize the obtained raw data in order to minimize the artifacts and aberrations from the measurement instruments.
- Be responsible to improve our MATLAB based software for form error analysis.
- Collects, processes and analyses data for Metrology (also form error correction/ Failure analysis).
- Prepare Metrology report with quantitative and compact conclusions.
- Performs topography measurements on microstructures in the clean room with confocal microscope, profilometers, AFM, etc.
- Contributes to several projects in parallel.
Education/experience
- Technical University or above, fresh and willing to learn.
- High-level experience in data analysis and programming with MATLAB, and good macro programming skills of Excel. Python is a plus.
- Statistical software package like JMP, R is a plus.
- Background in micro/nanotechnology, micro-optics, or physics, etc. is welcome.
- Hands-on experience of 3D-Metrology (profilometry, AFM, 3D confocal microscopy)
- Capability to contribute to optical setup building is a plus.
- Hard working and patient; work with a high degree of responsibility and self-reliance. Flexible for new tasks.
- You have a good level in English communication (spoken and written).

- High-level experience in data analysis and programming with MATLAB, and good knowledge of Excel.
