POSITION: Financial Reporting Manager

 

POSITION OVERVIEW: This role reports directly to the Chief Accounting Officer and will be a critical part of the accounting team prepare for their IPO. 

 

POSITION DUTIES: 

  • Research and document application of GAAP to financial statements
  • Draft, update and maintain documented accounting policies and internal control documentation
  • Coordinate with external auditors on year-end audits
  • Assist in preparation of audited financial statements
  • Ensure adequacy of financial statement disclosures in conformity with GAAP
  • Analyze new transactions to determine appropriate accounting treatment
  • Proactively liaise with auditors to obtain signoff on new accounting applications
  • Oversee financial reporting processes and maintain closing and reporting checklists
  • Assist in monthly close and consolidation, including related analysis and schedules
  • Assist in preparation of monthly financial statements and board packages
  • Prepare credit facility reports and ensure compliance
  • Support M&A activity including purchase accounting


POSITION REQUIREMENTS: 

 

  • Experience in internal control assessments and documentation
  • Big 4 accounting firm experience
  • Strong analytical, communication, leadership and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work under pressure, independently with minimal supervision; excellent attention to detail
  • Experience creating process-oriented solutions for products and initiatives
  • Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
  • Computer skills (Microsoft Word, Advanced Excel)
  • Ability to work with others in a team environment
  • Ability to adjust to shifting priorities or last minute assignments

Required education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or similar
  • CPA
  • Minimum 4-7 years public accounting or fund accounting experience, including SEC reporting experience
