We are now accepting resume/applications for Skilled Laborers for the Cade, LA & surrounding area. Duties/Responsibilities may/may not be limited to  the following:

• Job Scope:
  • Primary responsibility will involve using a grinder to remove rust areas on barges
• Required Skills:
  • Ability to use hand grinder efficiently
  • Ability to work effectively with others
• Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Using a variety of tools and machines such as blowtorches, forklifts, levels, lifts, power drills, grinders, saws, pressure washers, and water spraying equipment.
  • Removes rust and/or paint scale from ships metal surfaces, using hand or powered wire brushes
  • Cleaning and preparing a job site
  • Transport merchandise between receiving stations, warehouse and production areas.
  • Record the material amount or count received and circulated.
  • Drive industrial vehicles to transfer materials.
  • Maintain the work area clean, safe and organized.
  • Lift and carry merchandises/material as needed.
  • Maintain industry vehicles and material handling equipment in safe and good working condition.
  • Assist in waste disposal and recycling activities.
  • Work effectively to meet or exceed productivity goals while maintaining high quality standards.
  • Mange house keeping activities when requested.
  • Operate manual material handling equipment such as hand jacks and wheeled carts safely.
  • Execute daily work instructions received from Supervisor in a timely manner.
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must be able to pass a drug screen
• Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs
  • Must have good endurance
  • Ability to work outdoors in harsh weather conditions (heat, cold, dusty, dirty and/or wet conditions)
  • Will be required to bend, stoop, squat, crouch, kneel, and crawl to perform task
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must have provide own PPE (Hard hat, steel toes, leather gloves, safety glasses)
• Must be able to pass a drug screen
• Pay:
  • $18.00/Hour
  • Weekly Pay
  • Pay Schedule: Monday - Sunday
• Schedule:
  • 8-10 Hour Days (with weather permitting)
  • Monday - Friday (weekends as needed)
• Duration: Full-Time (Based on Job Performance)
