We're seeking an experienced, bilingual leader who is passionate about maintaining exceptional living environments and leading a skilled maintenance team. Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor a team of maintenance technicians, ensuring high-quality work standards and professional conduct
- Manage work orders and maintenance schedules to ensure timely completion and resident satisfaction
- Oversee preventive maintenance programs and coordinate emergency repairs
- Develop and manage departmental budgets, tracking expenses and optimizing resource allocation
- Conduct regular inspections of common areas and units to maintain community standards
- Communicate effectively with residents in both English and Spanish, providing excellent customer service
- Participate in on-call rotation to address emergency maintenance issues
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of all maintenance activities
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Supervisor or similar leadership role in a multi-unit residential community
- Fluency in both Spanish and English (verbal and written)
- EPA Certification (Environmental Protection Agency)
- CPO Certification (Certified Pool Operator) or ability to obtain
- Strong knowledge of apartment maintenance systems, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance repair
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and work orders effectively
- Willingness to participate in on-call rotation
- Valid driver's license with reliable transportation
- Ability to pass comprehensive background verification
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing maintenance teams in Class A or Class AA communities
- Knowledge of property management software systems
- Additional certifications in HVAC, electrical, or plumbing
- Experience with energy-efficient maintenance practices
- Proficiency with mobile maintenance management applications
