Title: Director, Customer Training

Location: Radnor, PA

This is an advanced career level management position which works under limited supervision and is responsible for the overall management of customer training, module design as well as field marketing promotional priorities.
This individual leads a content focused team and manages priorities, calendars and systems to drive effective delivery of industry and customer relevant topics based on known information needs that align to established business priorities. Responsibilities include executing various management functions in conjunction with performing mortgage training content needs analysis, design, development, and delivery of industry content marketing initiatives.


As a dynamic and resourceful professional, we will rely on you to perform the following duties:
  • Lead mortgage training and field marketing focused team to drive customer engagement and ensure the effectiveness of the team through observations, evaluations, feedback, and other efforts designed to improve training delivery quality and ensure alignment to evolving business and sales priorities.
  • Develop and manage comprehensive digital delivery training calendar including, presentations, webinars, website content, case studies, videos, digital materials and e-learning modules employing learning best practices and by working with subject matter experts, sales team, and other available resources.
  • Drive collaboration with key business functions and work within marketing workflows to develop content marketing strategies and programs to support customer needs and achieve marketing and business goals.
  • Identify operational training content needs, resources and development tools/options through needs analysis, competitive analysis, etc.  Present recommendations to marketing management for approval.
  • Oversee field marketing promotional accountability to ensure premiums align to brand guidelines and business needs.
  • Analyze and interpret data and make recommendations to management regarding e-learning course content and program effectiveness.
  • Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, customer challenges and business priorities in order to maintain an overall editorial strategy, content development and production calendar.
  • Establish process, procedures and reporting dashboards for distribution to business partners to ensure customer training programs are meeting intended goals.
  • Travel to Company locations and/or Client sites to conduct Essent Essentials training programs as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or Business related discipline.  
  • Five (5) to Seven (7) plus years’ experience developing and providing training content and delivery in the mortgage banking industry required.
  • Experience developing e-learning modules and using appropriate software.
  • CPLP Certification or equivalent a plus.
  • Solid understanding of training and development methodologies.
  • Advanced knowledge of needs analysis techniques.
  • Demonstrated history of achieving results.
  • Proficient with Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.  Advanced PowerPoint skills with knowledge of content authoring tools, e-learning platforms and LMS systems.
  • Advanced group facilitation and presentation skills.
  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills; detail oriented.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects with conflicting deadlines.
  • Superior oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to relate to employees at all levels of an organization.
  • Knowledge of leadership development best practices with the ability to lead, motivate and develop staff.
  • Strong business acumen and expertise in the mortgage industry.
  • Skill with WebX, Captivate, Camtasia, Brainshark and GoToMeeting preferred.
