Conexess Group is aiding a large healthcare client in their search a Firewall/Network Engineer in a remote capacity. This is a long-term opportunity with a competitive compensation package.

  • Identify and assess levels of risk in accordance with policies and standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices
  • Provide guidance on firewall policy change requests and zoning, including potential workarounds to meet business needs in a secure manner
  • Assist in drafting and editing firewall related standards, policies and guidelines
  • Work with cross-functional departments to research and resolve issues
  • Participate in the execution of internal and external regulatory and contractual compliance audits
  • Produce monthly operational metrics
  • Bachelor’s degree in information security, Cybersecurity, or Computer Science
  • 5+ years of experience with minimum 2 years in network security
  • CISSP, CISA, CISM, CCSP, or CCNA-S certification
  • Knowledge of the Checkpoint, Palo Alto, Tufin, and/or Algosec platforms
  • Experience executing audited processes in a customer service centric environment
  • Experience responding directly to internal and/or external auditors
  • Thorough understanding of networking concepts such as routing, switching, firewalls, TCP/IP, and internet protocols such as HTTP(S), DNS, and TLS
  • Thorough understanding of information security policy enforcement, network security, and information risk management concepts
  • Experience decomposing and balancing technical security and business demands
  • Ability to document and explain technical details in a concise, understandable manner for non-technical individuals
  • Data analytics experience
  • Tableau experience
  • SharePoint experience
