Conexess Group is aiding a large healthcare client in their search for an AWS Java Developer in a remote capacity. This is a long-term opportunity with a competitive compensation package.

Responsibilities:- Provide hands-on support for teams as they begin their cloud journey including assisting with the deployment of cloud infrastructure and applications
- Build Applications in Java (or a JVM language) and host them on the AWS platform
- Develop RESTful APIs following enterprise standards, to be hosted on EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service)
- Migrate existing on-prem services and data to AWS cloud
- Strong ability to design and implement AWS cloud environments with expert knowledge on the following: Lambda, EKS, Kafka, Python, Java, Kotlin, Spring Boot, Mongo, RDS, Swagger, OpenAPI, REST, basic Linux command line, Maven commands, AWS CLI
- Exposure to the following technologies: Terraform, Jenkins Pipelines, Reactive Spring, GraphQL, Containers (e.g. Docker)
- Strong experience designing and implementing RESTful microservices using Test-Driven Development (TDD)
- Experience in caching and performance improvement of applications
- Experience in messaging/streaming technologies (Kafka, MQ)
