Conexess Group is aiding a large healthcare client in their search for a Solution Train Engineer in a remote capacity. This is a long-term opportunity with a competitive compensation package.

Key Areas of Management and/or Participation- Facilitate the flow of value through agile ceremonies and processes while working with Agile Release Trains (ARTs) across the value stream.
- Communicate with stakeholders, escalate blockers, facilitate risk management, and drive continuous improvement.
- Guide the work of all Agile Release Trains (ARTs) and Suppliers aligned to the Solution.
- Coaching stakeholders and teams on best practices and driving Agile maturation of the organization.
- Manage and optimize the flow of value through the Solution Train using various tools.
- Facilitate the Pre- and Post-Program Increment (PI) Planning to coordinate and integrate the outcomes of PI Planning across Agile Release Team (ARTs. Aggregate Program PI Objectives into Solution PI Objectives
- Facilitate any necessary communication between delivery teams within a Value Stream.
- Drive continuous improvement via Inspect and Adapt (I&A) at the Large Solution layer
- Encourage collaboration between System Architects and Solution Architects, User Experience, and Engineer’s Reports status, and support activities related to Lean Portfolio Management
- Challenge architecture and development on patterns and implementation strategy when needed
- Keep an eye to reusability, performance, scalability, not creating technical debt, throw away work, etc.
- Facilitate the Solution Demo
- Help manage risks and dependencies across ARTs
- Escalate, tracks, and solves impediments across ARTs
- Help with strategy and execution alignment working with Solution Management, Product Management, and stakeholders
- Encourage and facilitate Solution-level continuous integration and communities of practice for Quality, Engineering, SAFe, Agile, and Lean.
- Create transparency into key agile metrics or leading/supporting the organization in the adoption of agile metrics (i.e. quality, speed, predictability, etc.)
- Partner with the Product Manager for all new work identified and in flight work
- Attend regular weekly stand ups with the Product Manager to maintain alignment of all items impacting the ART
- Partner with the System Arch/Engineer to understand enabler work
- Partner with the System Arch/Engineer to ensure a clear understanding of the conceptual and lower level architecture
- Partner with the development lead to ensure a clear understanding of the HL and LL designs
- Active management of the automated test plan to position the ART to automate as much as possible
- Will require partnership with the development manager in the ART
- Attend and participate in roadmap creation to understand direction of future state
- Attend and participate in Scrum team stand up's
- STE should stay connected with the RTE and Scrum Master, if the SM requires the RTE or SM requires support the STE will engage during the stand up
- Attend and participate in story refinement
- Facilitate and participate in Pre PI Planning
- Attend and participate in PI Planning
- Attend and participate in Story Acceptance - team will advise when support is needed during an acceptance review
- Attend and participate in Test Scenario Reviews - MUST include automated test scripts
- Attend and participate in Test Evidence Reviews - team will advise when support is needed during an acceptance review
- Attend and participate in ART Demos
- Active management of ART and PI Planning Retros opportunities
- Attend and participate in Design Reviews across ART
- Overall management of PI readiness - typically one or two PI's ahead of delivery
- Overall management of PI delivery - active management of the current PI
- Overall management of release readiness
- Partnership with the Scrum Master to ensure each release within a PI is on track
- Capacity management in the Program
- At the roadmap and PI level
- Identification of skill set required based on the roadmap and determine if additional resources are needed
- Responsible for management and execution of all onboarding for new resources and/or teams, leveraging the ART Onboarding Wiki
