Job Summary
The Ecommerce Merchandiser supports all functions of the Ecommerce merchandising strategy to create a head-to-toe uniform experience for the Direct to Business model to drive the financial plan. Supporting seasonal product launches, this role is responsible for all aspects of product-setup including product data collection, testing, and merchandising the site to drive the Men’s & Women’s uniform experience. The Ecommerce Merchandiser will work with external vendors, Product Development & Design in the set-up and launch of  brand gear. This role will analyze product performance and on-site results to influence change cross-functionally and increase conversion.

 Responsibilities

  • Support the brand working cross-functionally with Product Development to develop  templates, consolidate data to hand-off to external vendors, coordinate samples, test, coordinate go-live
  • Own the Direct to Business product set-up process from start to finish – collecting and consolidating product information, coordinating on-model photo shoots, loading product images, facilitating copy hand-offs, testing, coordinate go-live
  • Merchandise the D2B site, create/update on-site categories, manage facets, search, and on-site recommendations while maintaining a pulse on the competitive landscape to suggest improvements to increase usage and conversion
  • Partner with Planning to forecast style and category plans for the external licensed business, owning the buying strategy, vendor communication, product set-up, analysis and performance
  • Analyze and report out on weekly/monthly/quarterly sales, embroidery/screen print performance, category performance, and consumer shopping behavior
  • Support Ecommerce Merchandisers with seasonal merchandise strategies and product presentations to present a compelling story online and maximize revenue and conversion
  • Develop deep understanding and expertise of the Company Gear customer, how it differs from D2C, our customer, industries, and product assortment
  • Work cross functionally with marketing, media and site operations to build and execute stories on site and share results cross functionally
  • Communicate business results and influence cross functional counterparts in marketing, planning, site operations, IT, global merchandising, product development and design
  • Proactively seek out new opportunities to grow the business and further personal and professional development
  • Ad-hoc problem solving as site issues arise, partnering with Site Operations and IT teams to resolve issues timely
Required Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Merchandising, Ecommerce or Related Field; or equivalent years of related work experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
Required Skills & Experience
  • 4 or more years of merchandising, retail experience or industry related experience required
  • 1 or more years of Ecommerce experience preferred
  • Apparel, retail or consumer products experience preferred
  • Strong quantitative/analytical skills and mindset; general understanding of retail math
  • Detail Oriented
  • Strong understanding and passion for product, merchandising and website experiences
  • Team Player with exceptional communication skills
  • General product knowledge of apparel a plus
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, online merchandising tools
