Conexess Group is aiding a large healthcare client in their search for a Medicare Project Manager in a remote capacity. This is a long-term opportunity with a competitive compensation package.

Responsibilities:
  • Supports the delivery of a strategic program representing a major company initiative by providing central expertise, governance, and control within or independent of a formal Program Management Office (PMO).
  • This will include development and maintenance of integrated work plans, monitoring progress against goals, development, and maintenance of cross-functional, matrixed relationships with business and IT, timely escalation of barriers to success along with identification of potential solutions and providing concise and timely reporting tailored to appropriate stakeholder audiences.
  • Projects can range in content including (but not limited to) organizational realignment, compliance, total medical cost initiatives, new product implementation, new process and technology creation and rollout.
  • Develop program/project controls and artifacts to ensure consistent and timely reporting of key deliverables, risks, and dependencies across program disciplines.
  • Utilize established project and program methodology to develop project plans for assigned programs and projects.
  • Where the methodology is not sufficient, create and augment with new processes and establish best practices Develop and maintain work plans that consider the priorities, key milestones, time and cost estimates, resource requirements, task sequencing and identification of tasks that may be performed concurrently to achieve objectives.
  • Mentor and train junior PMs
  • Ensure appropriate program/project governance and decision-making methodology are in place and adhered to.
  • Ensure integrity of original business case is maintained & any adjustments are communicated & understood by all key stakeholders.
  • Ensure the timely and quality development and distribution of all deliverables for the program/project.
  • Evaluate program/project status and resource utilization and implements changes to improve the team's effectiveness.
  • Assist in maturing program/project management methodology, tools, and techniques.
  • Resolve issues and determines contingency plans and triggers for risks.
  • As needed, escalates issues to appropriate audiences including key business leaders and team members.
  • Partner with matrix organizations to ensure that appropriate action is taken to identify and implement initiatives.
  • Develop and implement communication and reporting mechanisms to maintain sponsor engagement and promote stakeholder adoption.
  • Ensure appropriate use of tools to track and monitor the financial performance of assigned projects. Define and consult on measurement strategies, tools, scorecards, and surveys.
Qualifications:
  • 8 years or more of program/project management work experience in related field including process management
  • Foundational knowledge of Agile methodology. SAFe certification is preferred.
  • Prior experience in Health Insurance will be highly preferred Demonstrated project management leadership and success, including cross-organizational initiatives.
  • Ability to foster collaboration, value other perspectives and gain support and buy-in.
  • Ability to lead and influence in a matrixed environment is critical.
  • Strong business acumen, with proven ability to leverage knowledge base to quickly come up to speed in new business areas and new types of projects.
  • Continually strive to improve their own skills and competencies by demonstrating initiative to participate in ongoing coaching and training programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive results required.
  • Able to influence in direct and matrix environment.
  • Comfortable with raising questions, issues, ideas, or suggestions to co-workers at all levels across all organizations.

  • Follow up with these parties to drive resolution and provide on-going feedback to individual(s) who raised the question or issue.
