Compensation Range: $130K - $140K


Our client is a global automotive supplier of innovative thermal and energy management solutions. Our Compressor product group is seeking a Product Development Process Lead (PDPL) – GPEP/ASPICE  to join our team at our growing Innovation Center in Novi, MI. The PDPL is
responsible for the successful technical development process of eCompressors. This role will lead the development team from concept to production and will support the Program Manager in all technical relevant topics of the project and must have strong project management and product development skills.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Tailoring the project engineering process
  • Leading the team per the engineering schedule, tracking issues and ensuring timely resolution
  • Managing engineering risks
  • Within the above activities, close attention to BOM cost, manufacturability, testability, and quality is required. Constant               interaction with the entire engineering team, manufacturing, customers, purchasing etc. is part of daily activities.
  • Ensure the following documents/information are generated and updated in the appropriate system/tool:
    • Project Engineering Tool List
    • FIP Feature Integration Plan
    • Project Engineering Release Notes
    • Work Breakdown Structure
    • Project Plan (Handbook)
    • Project Status Report
    • Project Engineering Meeting Minutes
    • Lessons Learned Record
    • Project Engineering Approval Form
    • Global Engineering Cost Sheet
    • Supplier Acceptance Test Record
    • Risk Record
    • Process Deviation Report
    • Release Report for Production
    • Project Training Management Book
    • Supplier Rating Record
    • Test Executables
    • Tailoring Result
    • Supplier Statement of Work
 
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical (preferred) or Mechanical Engineering
  • 3-5 years of experience in product design engineering, preferably within the automotive industry
COMPETENCIES/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS
  • Experience in leading cross-functional teams
  • ASPICE experience - desired
  • Experience with the Global Product Engineering Process (GPEP) is desired
  • Knowledge of compressors – desired
  • Strong project management skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Proficient with project management and product development tracking IT tools (i.e. Redmine)
  • Proficient in MS Office (MS Excel, PowerPoint, Project. etc.)
