Conexess Group is aiding a large healthcare client in their search for a Solution Product Manager in a remote capacity. This is a long-term opportunity with a competitive compensation package.

  • This role will contribute to the Solution Layer of the Coordinated Services program.
  • SLM creates the Solution Vision, Solution Roadmap, and guides work through the Solution Kanban.
  • Understand business and technology objectives, communicates the product vision and roadmap, prioritizes, and translates needs into requirements to ensure that expected outcomes are achieved.
  • Define system features and participates in validation.
  • Remain aware of other work being completed within the Portfolio so they can help teams proactively manage risks and dependencies.
  • Focuses on providing thought leadership and technical expertise across multiple disciplines.
  • Recognized internally as the go-to person for the most complex assignments.
  • Intake and Solution Backlog Refinement
  • Implements and manages the Solution Kanban
  • Ensures Program Epics are written, ready to implement and pulled into the Solution Backlog.
  • Works with delivery teams to decompose Portfolio Epics into Program Epics
  • Reviews and updates the definitions of the Program Epics and develops Acceptance Criteria for epics in the backlog
  • Works with solution architecture to determine enablers that are needed from new Portfolio Epics and establishes their capacity allocations.
  • Collaborate with business, enterprise architecture, and other technical partners to ensure requirements and defined solutions are in alignment with the direction provided to exceed the business objectives.
  • Supports business and product delivery partners in successful build, test, and release of solutions while ensuring adherence to the Enterprise Architecture direction and strategies.
  • Supports design and development of complex enterprise solutions.
  • Works with distributed requirements and technical stakeholders to complete shared design and development, ensuring consistency of approach and facilitating resolution of cross-team issues and dependencies.
  • Leads technical and functional data requirements review, prioritization, mapping, integration for the EverNorth strategies.
  • Key facilitator in Coordinated Services PI activities and in coordination with other organizations PI processes.
  • Creates and communicates the Solution Vision and Roadmap.
  • Responsible for decomposing a Portfolio Vision to a Solution Vision and maintaining that vision. Responsible for developing the roadmap as the vision and delivery strategy evolves.
  • Proactive dependency and risk management may include participation in backlog refinement meetings, planning events and syncs, team's daily stand ups, demos, and wherever they are needed in order to gain visibility and manage dependencies.
  • Maintain backlog: This role will also drive the management of the Solution Backlog to ensure proper prioritization, ongoing planning, parenting, reporting roll up, etc. 
  • This role may also participate in team and system demos to provide feedback on content delivery.
  • Leading key Agile ceremonies: Completes final backlog preparation, prioritization, and socialization in preparation for PI Planning.
  • Describes Solution Vision and represents top priority Program Epics in Pre-PI Planning.
  • Integrates the results from the PI Planning into the vision for the Solution Train during Post-PI Planning. Leads Portfolio and Program Epic Intake Kanban.
  • Participates in Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, and Solution Demos where needed.
  • Experience decomposing a Portfolio Vision into a Solution Vision and maintaining that Vision along with the Solution Roadmap.
  • Experience developing personas, use cases, roadmaps, and process workflows.
  • Experience translating product/platform strategy by writing detailed features and user stories consumable for delivery teams.
  • Experience managing requirements for large programs with complex cross-functional dependencies.
  • Minimum 3 years in product ownership, product management or systems analysis and requirements definition.
  • Solution Management experience preferred.
  • Ability to perform in high visibility, high pressure environment with competing priorities.
  • Must be confident being the face of the team.
  • Must be able to work autonomously and willing to take ownership even in the face of ambiguity.
  • Operates with a sense of urgency and proactively communicates in order to promote and maintain transparency.
  • Experience with Cigna's client election, member eligibility, and/or authorization systems preferred.
  • Jira experience preferred.
  • Experience with using the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) in a large solution preferred.​​​​​​
