First Century Bank is looking for a full time Regional Branch Manager to join its team at its Commerce, Georgia location.  This individual will be responsible for leading First Century’s two branches (Commerce and Hilton Head Island) and its call center team to provide outstanding support to all of its client groups.  This individual will support the departmental managers to ensure appropriate resource allocation throughout the whole team, and ensuring consistency in providing high quality support.  This individual will act as the Branch manager for the Commerce Branch.  This individual will identify strengths and implement procedures making our strengths a standard for all.  Further, this individual would be responsible for creating measurement tools to ensure the organization provides high level support.

Planning/Strategic (70%):
  1. Working with Department heads to create departmental goals for service, and efficiency.
  2. Working with business development team and implementation teams to ensure that the client service staff is properly trained for any new client business which the teams will begin to support.
  3. Ensure that cross training is consistently assessed and completed to handle workflow fluctuations.
  4. Work closely with clients and peers to understand and anticipate needs
  5. Solve complex problems, and escalated issues and proactively provide mitigation for future problems
  6. Lead by example, demonstrating cooperation cross departmentally and within the department by encouraging and developing the team, and recognizing outstanding performance.
  7. Developing and coaching management team members to be able to provide leadership to the team.
  8. Educates team members and clients about best practices in addition to emerging bank technology and digital solutions all designed to make banking easier.
Branch Management (in the case of Commerce Branch)(30%):
  1. Fully knows and is capable of training staff in features, advantages, and benefits of all bank loan products, all deposit products and recommending appropriate product or service for customer need.  Can fully discuss product of competition and highlight bank value, including niche client markets such as HOA/Management Company clients.  Assists all staff as needed, by opening deposit accounts and processing paperwork accompanying each account being opened.
  1. Develops "relationship banking" with each customer providing high quality service and demonstrate that banking staff is a source of expertise.  Strives to retain and improve business relations by responding quickly and courteously to inquiries about products and needed problem resolution. 
  1. Is an active community leader through membership in professional associations.
  1. Supervises the daily operation of the branch office including but not limited to review of: over/short reports, overdrafts, check approvals, resolving complex customer problems.  Monitors NSF reports and corresponds with customers as needed.
  1. Ensures timely completion of necessary reports and compliance to bank policies and procedures.  Adheres to security guidelines and policies.
  1. Fills in for any needs including assisting customers with opening and closing accounts, accessing safety deposit boxes, and sending wires if team members are serving other customers.

  1. Takes consumer loan applications and approves up to approved limits of secured and unsecured loan authority; assists with ensuring completeness of loan package; ; ; and, assists in the collections of past due loans.
  1. Follows all loan applications taken to ensure prompt reply to customer.
  1. Ensures the preparation of complete and accurate loan files and assisting customers with the loan application process.  Ensures loan portfolio is in compliance with corporate underwriting standards and loan policies are followed.

  1. Performs such other duties as may be assigned or which inherently or logically belong with the position.
