We are a leading flat rolled metals processor-distributor producing specialized, processed metal products and we are looking for a receiving operator to join our team to maintain the flow of material throughout the receiving department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned by the employee’s supervisor on an as needed basis.
  • Qualified overhead crane operator capable of pulling & staging material for processing as needed.
  • Must be capable of unloading coils from trucks and rail cars.
  • Use transfer buggies to transfer material throughout the facility for proper staging of material.
  • Operate forklift safely for removal of scrap to outside scrap roll off boxes.
  • Ability to read and comprehend processing orders so that the proper material is pulled for processing.
  • Utilize the location management using the RF scanners.
  • Report damaged material via reject report to Quality for resolution and disposition.
  • Repair material that is damaged, regardless of the status of the material.
  • Ability to read and comprehend mill receiving paper work.
  • Correctly completing Receiving Inspection Report for each coil received.
  • Correctly receive M/Cs into Stelplan.
  • Ability to read and comprehend mill and computer generated tags.
  • Check material for non-conformities and note any damage to the Receiving Report & report the non-conformities to the supervisor.
  • Ensure all material is safely secure in rows of the M/C warehouse.
  • Ability to read a tape measure and calibrate it on a daily basis.
  • Maintain proper 5S and housekeeping requirements within the department.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
  • High school education or GED
  • Ability to follow simple instructions, work well in a team environment and work in a safe manner.
  • Crane operation and related experience preferred. 
HOURS: 2nd shift: Monday - Friday, 1:30 pm to 9:30 pm

PAY: $17.33 + $1.50 shift diff = $18.83/hr
$40 weekly bonus for perfect attendance ( = $19.83/hour)

Periodic overtime required
