Conexess Group is aiding a large healthcare client in their search for in a Healthcare Data Analyst in a remote capacity. This is a long-term opportunity with a competitive compensation package.

Responsibilities:
• Partner with stakeholders who will look to you/ your team’s expertise in complex data analysis and visualization techniques to tell compelling data stories that provide actionable insights and drive strategy.
•  Analyze issues and create opportunities using medical, behavioral and pharmaceutical claims data, financial, and other corporate data, and information from both modeled internal data as well as disparate internal and external sources.
• Leverage advanced analytics methods to create insightful recommendations and conclusions that can be effectively communicated to stakeholders.
•  Independently perform analyses and apply quality checks to ensure data integrity
•  Create ad hoc reports using various tools (SAS, SQL Server, Excel, Tableau, etc...)
• Integrates data from multiple sources and supports/performs complex statistical data analysis.
• Identifies, acquires, and managed data from various data stores: integrating cross matrix departmental data using SQL/Hadoop/Hive/Teradata/Tableau/SAS/R/Python or other applications as applicable.
• Use strong programming skills- to explore, examine and interpret large volumes of data in various forms.
• Works with team & internal partner organizations in the development, testing and implementation of analytics, measurement and reporting projects.
• Creates publication-quality graphical and narrative representations of outcomes analysis performed
•Delivers data products in a timely manner using effective report and/or presentation formats intended to convey clinical performance of the organization for product development and improvement.

Qualifications:
• 3-5 years healthcare experience with data analytics reporting
• Working knowledge of healthcare systems and healthcare terminology
• Experience working with Healthcare data (Medical claims, Pharmacy claims, Provider, Eligibility, etc.)
• Expert in analyzing large complex, multi-dimensional data sets with a variety of tools 
• Proven experience in managing multiple priorities and agility in adapting to change
• Strong data mining and data analysis skills
• Strong experience working with BI and programming applications such as SAS, SQL, R, Python, Teradata Studio, Tableau, and Toad 
• Strong experience working with various data warehouses, such as Teradata, Hadoop, Oracle, DB2, and SQL servers
• Ability to create SQL/SAS queries to pull and manipulate detail level data from a variety of supporting data tables for analytic research and investigation
• Able to understand various data structures and common methods in data transformation
