Conexess Group is aiding a large healthcare client in their search for a Network Security Engineer in a remote capacity. This is a long-term opportunity with a competitive compensation package.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct proactive review of firewall policy change requests
  • Evaluate functional details of new server deployments
  • Partner with infrastructure and network teams to govern secured automation logic for firewall policy requests thereby minimizing manual labor demand
  • Partner with infrastructure and network teams to govern secured automation logic for assigning servers to appropriate network segments thereby minimizing manual labor demand
  • Support the unification of legacy company firewall policy review practices
  • Participate in the execution of internal and external regulatory and contractual compliance audits
  • Faithfully execute to the spirit of established processes and SOPs
  • Identify process and customer service gaps, recommend improvements to process and SOPs across firewall, zoning, and network segmentation services
  • Produce monthly operational metrics, KRIs, and KPIs
Qualifications: ​​
  • Minimum 5+ years of comparable network or security experience
  • Demonstrated understanding of fundamental information risk management concepts
  • Experience executing audited processes in a customer service centric environment
  • Experience responding directly to internal and/or external auditors
  • Ability to document and explain technical details in a concise, understandable manner
  • Ability to manage and balance multiple tasks and work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to decompose and balance technical security and business demands
  • CISSP, CISA, or CISM preferred
