Sales Manager – Regional Accounts


Sales opening with a gluten free food manufacturer! We are looking for a detailed oriented sales individual with food CPG experience. This is a newly created role that will drive business within the Northeast. Must be located within the tri-state area. Please apply if interested!

Job Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for product growth in regional conventional grocery chains and independent natural chains
  • Coordinate with Operations, Marketing, and Finance to develop product, format, pricing and promotion scenarios that result in sustainable new business.
  • Determines optimal path to market as well as any required supporting resources
  • Proactively identify whitespace opportunities as an input into the Business Development process
  • Support management in developing an annual plan to closely align the efforts of Sales and Marketing to generate optimal demand for the brand
  • Communicate with senior management about fresh sales initiatives and project metrics
  • Identify specific SKU/Brand opportunities in strategic channels
  • Manages customers relationships directly or through distributor and broker partners
  • Coordinates with Account Payable to manage all trade spend
  • Uses data resources to identify and quality targets and to manage existing business
  • Provides input to annual sales planning process
  • Coordinates with Marketing to coordinate presentations, sales materials, and new item samples
  • Tracks all programs to ensure that they meet expectations


Required Skills/Qualifications:  
  • 5+ years of sales experience in consumer products environment
  • Experience in strategic channels and/or specialty/natural/organic channels is highly favorable but not required
  • Bachelor’s Degree is preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and able to adaptability to succeed in a smaller entrepreneurial environment
  • Experience leading a branding campaign from start to finish
  • Previous marketing experience in the food industry
  • Understands consumer & customer insights that can develop into ‘go to market’ plans (including sales/trade, communication, selling strategy & materials)
  • Travel as necessary
  • Cross functional team player
  • Must have a valid drivers license and proof of insurance
