We are working with a food-tech company that wants to empower its customers to eat healthy while helping to improve the sustainability of their food systems. The Production Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating a shift in the Production Department to manufacture quality products for our customers. Our client delivers delicious, organic, plant-forward meals, juices, and snacks to customers on the West Coast at the intersection of convenience, health, and sustainability. This is a hands-on opportunity for an individual who enjoys getting in the trenches with their team, understands challenges, and identifies opportunities. This individual will also oversee the implementation of new practices and initiatives.


Job Responsibilities:

·        Supervise and coordinate activities of the production team for a shift including scheduling, time management, performance evaluations, hiring, and disciplines

·        Identify and implement training needs for employee growth and development

·        Collaborate with culinary, production, and facilitates teams with regards to QA and GMPs

·        Ensure full compliance with employment law and company policy

·        Perform production area audits and conduct regular shift meetings to ensure compliance with GMP, food safety, and safety regulations

·        Set production objectives and implement action plans for achieving set targets

·        Prepare periodic reports to update upper management on food production activities

·        Ensure accuracy of manifests and documentation logs, and ensure all team members understands their functionalities

·        Provide communication of real-time updates on necessary Slack channels on current line progression and/or productivities


Required Skills/Qualifications:  

·        2+ supervisory or management experience

·        California or equivalent Food Handlers Certification

·        Working knowledge of relevant Employment Law

·        Working knowledge and understanding of GMPS, quality standards, and safety & OSHA regulations

·        Ability to adhere to company SOPs and implement new procedures as needed

·        Outstanding organizational and time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines

·        Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

·        Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate when appropriate

·        Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
