Maintenance Manager

Job Responsibilities:
· Develop ongoing structural and operational organization in maintenance department
· Plan and ensure maintenance effectiveness and efficiency at the plant level
· Consistently monitor the current situation and development of optimization measures
· Manage the budget for department
· Ensure cost optimization across investment, operating & maintenance costs
· Coordinate with project and plant manager on the planning and implementing of investment projects
· Ensure compliance with safety guidelines
· Ensure compliance with environmental guidelines
· Work cross functionally with production, QA, procurement and logistics departments
· Leadership contact person for technical issues
· Analyze and find solutions for problems. Support conflict resolution
· Ensure completion of all legally required trainings
· Ensure technicians have the technical training to perform the job correctly
· Accountable for the preventive maintenance program
· Ensure adequate supply and control over spare parts and maintenance supplies
· Analyze disruptions with a CI mindset
· Conduct asset life analysis and recommend replacements or upgrades as necessary
· Conduct periodic asset inventory
· Instruct employees and monitor work
Required Skills/Qualifications:
· BS degree in engineering or related field is preferred
· 8+ years’ experience in engineering & maintenance with manufacturing. Food manufacturing is very ideal
· History of leadership and management experience
· PLC Programming knowledge. Previous hands-on experience is necessary
· In dept knowledge of processing technologies
· Working knowledge with the following is needed: separators, pasteurizers, homogenizers, high speed packaging, fillers, heat exchangers, utilities etc., etc.
· Previous capital project management experience
· CMS development and management
· CI/lean manufacturing mind set
· Familiar with SAP applications or similar operating systems
· Understanding of CMMS applications
· Previous experience working in a SQF certified facility preferred
· Working knowledge of PMO preferred
