Quality Assurance Manager

 

Position Summary: We are working with an exciting innovative food company that is looking for a QA leader. This position will work with external and internal partners within the manufacturing facility. This is a newly created role within a growing organization. Please apply if interested!

 

Job Responsibilities:

·       Must be familiar with the Quality System requirements of the plant

·        Review Quality activities and report to ensure conformance to specifications

·        Assure that products are being produced in conformance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) and per customer requirements.

·       Ensures that a safe work environment exists in the department and that monthly safety meetings are conducted and documented.

·       Assists in resolving quality related issues throughout the plant

·       Verifies that production employees comply with department work instructions

·        Assists in special projects and generates summary of projects performance

·       Communicates effectively with department employees, Plant management, Remote management

·       Coordinate proper disposition of unsatisfactory product with production personnel.

·       Review FM finding incident reports in the Food Safety Inspection Meeting and have the FS members attending the meeting sign each report.

·       Participate in the Preventive Controls and Food Safety external audits.

·       Must be on the Preventive Controls Committee

·       Present consumer and retail complaint in the management/supervisor meeting.

·       Must be able to work various shifts and hours including holidays and weekends.

·       Other duties, as assigned.

Required Skills/Qualifications:

·       Must have 3+ years’ experience in the Food and Beverage Manufacturing

·       Must have 3+ years with Quality Control/Quality Assurance

·       Must have 2+ years of Supervisory experience

·       Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience is needed

·       Reliable, Responsible, with an initiative to take the next level; Committed

·       Quality Systems experience

·       Knowledge in HACCP and Food Safety Programs

·       Computer Literacy, Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

·       Bilingual (Spanish/English) desirable

·       Knowledge of statistics preferred

·       Good communication skills
