HR Manager
Summary:
Looking for a strong HR leader for a nationwide food manufacturing facility in the Southern Tier. The HR Manager will continuously build the organizational ability for a large plant. This role will implement talent development programs and lead strategy and tactics that will drive a positive culture within the plant.
Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- Leads and drives plant employees and HR team in all HR matters
- Lays out employee benefit plans
- Administers existing programs in accordance with policies including EEO and ADA compliance
- Consults with employees and management on facility issues. Investigates causes and resolves problems, while making recommendations on better execution going forward
- Develops and implements effective action plans within organization policies and procedures
- Manages the recruitment and hiring process to ensure staffing needs are met
- Ensure compliance with federal, state and local guidelines
- Initiative and perform training for employees at all levels
- Manage employee and labor relations activities
- Identify opportunities to develop and implement new practices to achieve business goals
- Implement HR initiatives to improve company effectiveness – including employee performance processes, talent development, and company culture
- Works to support and administer Affirmative Action program
- Lead internal and external audits. Perform pre audit activities to minimize risk
- Recommends changes to increase employee performance, reduce costs
- Tracks and analyzes data and trends
Required Skills/Qualifications (including but not limited to):
- Bachelor’s Degree is required in a HR or Business-related field
- 5+ years’ experience with labor relations, employee relations, recruitment, talent development, and employee benefits roll out
- 5+ years in a manufacturing environment, preferably in food manufacturing
- Be a natural change agent with a continuous passion for HR
- Consult with other upper management on talent management & organizational design issues
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Able to deliver and execute high quality & consistent HR processes and services
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills
- Able to communicate with all levels of a manufacturing organization
- Skilled in organization, prioritization and attention to detail
- Able to adapt to an ever-changing environment and operational needs
- Strong attention to detail and highly organized
