The Cost Analyst supports McKissack and McKissack project and program teams by delivering accurate, timely cost analysis across assigned projects. This role focuses on budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, and variance analysis to protect financial performance and support informed decision making. The ideal candidate is detail focused, disciplined, and comfortable working across multiple projects in fast paced environments. 
Responsibilities:

Provide cost analysis support from project planning through closeout.
Develop and maintain project budgets, cost estimates, and cash flow forecasts.
Track actual costs against approved budgets and identify variances early.
Prepare clear cost reports for project teams and executive leadership.
Support change order pricing and cost impact evaluations.
Review contracts, schedules, and scopes to identify cost risk.
Validate vendor pricing, invoices, and pay applications.
Maintain cost coding structures and reporting standards.
Partner with project managers to strengthen cost controls and forecasting accuracy.
Support audits, financial reviews, and client reporting requirements.

Requirements:

3 plus years of experience in cost analysis, project controls, or financial analysis.
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in finance, Accounting, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field required.
Experience supporting construction or capital improvement projects preferred.
Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Familiarity with ERP systems or project cost platforms such as Procore, e Builder, or similar tools.
Strong communication skills and ability to present cost data clearly.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. 

Compensation:
Salary range: $75,000 - $85,000/yearly (dependent on years of experience, competency, travel requirements)

Responsibilities:
Design Leadership
&bull; Lead design vision from early concept through design development
&bull; Create high level conceptual sketches and narratives that translate client goals into clear architectural ideas
&bull; Serve as the primary design voice in client meetings, interviews, and presentations
&bull; Set the overall design direction and guide teams through refinement and execution
Client Engagement
&bull; Partner directly with clients to understand mission, culture, and functional needs
&bull; Build trust with senior stakeholders through strong listening, clarity of thought, and design confidence
&bull; Act as a creative advisor who helps clients make informed design decisions
Project and Team Collaboration
&bull; Work closely with architects, interior designers, and technical staff to develop concepts into coordinated design solutions
&bull; Provide design guidance and mentorship to project teams throughout the design process
&bull; Collaborate with outside design partners and specialty consultants as needed
Market Focus
&bull; Corporate real estate including commercial office, hospitality, and government funded housing
&bull; Cultural facilities including landmarks, arenas, convention centers, libraries, museums, and cultural centers
&bull; Institutional work including healthcare, civic, government, and public safety facilities
Requirements:
&bull; Registered Architect in good standing
&bull; 20 or more years of professional architectural experience
&bull; Recognized design leader with a strong portfolio of built work
&bull; Proven ability to lead conceptual design and early project vision
&bull; Strong freehand or digital sketching ability
&bull; Experience working directly with clients in public and private sector environments
&bull; Ability to inspire, guide, and elevate design teams
&bull; Strong communication and presentation skills
Compensation:
Salary range: $185,000 - $225,000/yearly (dependent on years of experience, competency, travel requirements)

Strong knowledge of building codes, standards, and construction practices.
Excellent project management and organizational skills.
Strong communication and presentation abilities.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
LEED accreditation or experience with sustainable design practices is a plus

Salary range: $110,000 - $140,000/yearly (dependent on years of experience, competency, location)

Qualifications:

Education: BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering
12-15 years of water and wastewater engineering experience, 5 years' experience in project management

Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Experience with Design-Build Contracts
Demonstrated experience overseeing the development and implementation of design and construction contract documents for complex infrastructure projects.
Experience with the permitting process in Fairfax and Loudoun Counties is preferrable

Salary range: $110,000.00 - $180,000.00/yearly (dependent on years of experience, competency, location)

Understands general pipe repair concepts/terms (bypass pumping, bulkheads, slip lining, etc.)
