Our organization is growing rapidly and we have an excellent opportunity for a Director, Technology Services & Support in our ­­­­­­­­­Grand Rapids office.

Here is more about what you’d be doing at GLHC:
  • As the technical voice of the GLHC leadership team, the Director, Technology Services & Support ensures the effective, efficient and secure operation of GLHC systems and technical infrastructure including strategic and tactical planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all software, hardware and networking components.
  • Coaching and developing a team of very talented professionals to provide GLHC employees and participants with top quality, consistently available computer service, support, training and maintenance of all computer systems used throughout the organization, including those owned by GLHC as well as those operated by vendor partners.
  • Working with our Privacy and Security Officer to audit and ensure data security and privacy. Ensuring availability and continuity of data and communication in disaster recovery situations. Developing policies and procedures that help mitigate risk and ensure best practice.
  • Developing and adhering to budget and actively managing vendor relationships and contractual agreements consistent with GLHC’s mission and business strategies.
  • Presenting at state and national conferences as a representative of GLHC.
Here is a bit about what our ideal candidate must possess:
  • A bachelor’s degree in IT/IS (or equivalent experience).
  • Ten (10+) years of broad-based, senior-level IT leadership experience in healthcare in a Linux and Cisco environment.
  • Previous HIE/EMR industry experience is preferred, as this role is responsible for ensuring consistent EMR communication between health care providers across the state – and our territory is growing!
  • Vision and creativity. The Director, Technology Services and Support must use critical thinking skills to see around corners, utilizing a proactive approach.
  • A collaborative approach. Use your excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport and relationships with staff, vendors and clients alike. We’re looking for someone who employs a consultative and collaborative approach to service, training, solving problems and teamwork.
