Part Time Community Outreach Associate – Houston and Pasadena, TX Area 
 

Our Community Outreach Department is seeking a Part-Time Community Outreach Associate from September 2012  through May 2013 to conduct interactive programs with elementary school girls. The program serves schools in the Greater Houston and Pasadena area. In the school year we provide traditional Girl Scout programs in a school setting.  

Qualifications:
This motivated team player will possess the following experience, abilities and skills:
  • Dependable, enthusiastic, and energetic
  • Competent in making presentations in front of large groups of girls in a variety of school settings
  • Able to relate to girls of various ethnicities ranging in ages 5-12
  • Prior experience working/volunteering with youth preferred
  • Must have reliable transportation and willingness to travel throughout the Greater Houston area
  • Transport supplies to and from the Girl Scout office as needed (some heavy lifting)
  • Must be available to work on variable days Monday – Friday, variable times –most ending by 3:00 p.m
  • Must be at least 18 years old with valid driver’s license
  • Prior Girl Scout experience helpful, but not required
  • Bilingual applicants preferred, but not required
  • All employees must become an official member of Girl Scouts of the U.S.A. (minimal annual membership fee required)
