Responsibilities of the Practice Manager: The Practice Manager supports the overall day to-day administrative and clinical activities of a multiple provider medical group practice (4 to 6 providers), establishes and maintains an effective operating environment which assures effective, efficient, and safe operations that respond to patient, physician, and staff needs. The Practice Manager will act as liaison between physicians and office employees to resolve conflicts and to promote cohesiveness in the practice; as well as serveing as liaison between the practice and other clinical and administrative components of the Piedmont Heart Institute (PHI).
The Practice Manager will ensure that the practice follows PHI and office policies and procedures; and adhere to and enforce JCAHO and OSHA standards relating to the physician office practice of medicine.
The individual will monitor EHR proficiency of staff and providers; facilitate educational opportunities to maximize efficiency.
They accurately report issues and concerns to appropriate personnel.
The manager serves as liaison between practice and IS staff.
They can facilitate integration of new applications and/or upgrades as appropriate.
This Practice Manager will monitor the submission of timely, accurate and complete billing information to the business office to ensure the maximization of professional services reimbursement; research disallowance reports for unusual reimbursement practices; remain up-to-date on coding and insurance practices as necessary and interact with the Central Business Office to update, change or delete codes and charges when determined to be ineffective, unprofitable and/or obsolete.
Oversee and/or perform the following tasks as they impact timely, accurate, and complete billing information.
Registration and Charge Posting:
Insure insurance coverage is verified prior to date of service.
Review incoming patients for outstanding balances.
Instruct the front desk on appropriate action usually, the amount to collect at time of service.

**REQUIRE RN CLINICAL BACKGROUND**
Bachelor degree (BA) from a four (4) year accredited college or university and seven (7) years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience require clinical (RN) background.
